Perl QA Hackathon 2012
Once again I have to thank the laws determining large numbers and the interaction of societies[1] for Les Mongueurs de Perl those wonderful French Perl Mongers. Once again they have taken up a baton that was in the way of being passed and will be hosting the QA Hackathon for 2012.[2]
For those of you not familiar with the Hackathon and its aims you can look through some of my past posts:
- Announcing the Perl QA Hackathon
- EPO and the QA Hackathon
- A Meeting of Many Camels
- Extended Families
- Perl QA: Some Final Thoughts
Or simply wait for when we announce next years website to accompany the event.
For now I can simply state that Les Mongueurs de Perl are amazing chaps who will no doubt host a singular and amazing QA Hackathon in the romantic city of Paris in the Spring of 2012. Watch this space for further details.
Vive Le France
Vive Le QA Hackathon
Vive Le Perl[3]
Vive Les Mongueurs de Perl

[1] I could have just said ‘Thank God’ to satisfy the standard English idiom but I am trying to relax any reliance on religious cliche.
[2] It is only fair to note that the magnificent Andy Armstrong offered to host this event in London in 2012 and mine was one of the dissenting voices as I fear the raising of London’s profile to promote next summer’s Olympic Games will have a negative impact on prices and any promotion of events for a large period both before and after the event. Hopefully we will see a QA Hackathon: London 2013
[3] The QA Hackathon is all about Quality Assurance and not therefore limited to the one programming language, applicants will be accepted from several languages as the aim is to improve the testing culture not to promote one specific language over another.
